Terra Kulture is founded
A cultural centre dedicated to Nigerian art, language, food and creative expression opens in Victoria Island.
Our story
Food, art, language and performance have always belonged in the same conversation.
Since 2003
Terra Kulture was founded in 2003 by Bolanle Austen-Peters with a clear purpose: to create a home where Nigerian culture could be experienced, understood and celebrated.
The restaurant became an essential part of that vision. Here, guests encounter Nigerian cuisine in a space shaped by indigenous art, handcrafted furniture, books, music, theatre and conversation.
Over the years, Terra Kulture has welcomed families, travellers, diplomats, artists and food lovers. The dining room remains one of the most immediate ways to encounter the richness of Nigeria: through taste, texture, generosity and shared stories.
Our journey
A cultural centre dedicated to Nigerian art, language, food and creative expression opens in Victoria Island.
The restaurant pioneers a Braille version of its menu, making the dining experience more inclusive for visually impaired guests.
Terra Kulture continues to bring Nigerian food together with exhibitions, theatre, music, books and unforgettable hospitality.
We honour local ingredients, familiar dishes and the stories that travel with them.
Hospitality is not a performance here. It is the feeling of being welcomed and cared for.
Food meets art, theatre, books, music and people from across the world.
